    Levvel is looking for a Senior Director to serve as oversight and delivery management of client work for the firm’s Financial  Services & Payments vertical. This role will complement our existing Director team by supplementing with expertise on more strategic and less well-defined engagements that are in early or exploratory stages.  Clients will perceive this individual to be one of the most senior and experienced individuals within the vertical, able to provide expertise in a variety of situations, but critically able to tactfully guide difficult conversations to help focus amorphous or otherwise complex efforts to drive progress.   The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in financial services and/or payments as a practitioner or a consultant.



    • Engage with clients to strategically implement new transformative efforts within their organizations, including creating innovation labs, creating a digital bank, evaluating new market opportunities, or driving broad digital transformation efforts

    • Lead cross-functional teams developing product or company strategy for clients ranging from startups to Fortune 100 companies

    • Ensure successful client engagements, including both daily interactions and progress towards an overall successful delivery

    • Manage client relationships and conversations to drive amorphous or poorly-defined efforts, elicit client goals & needs, and maintain a balance between the client and Levvel team to ensure both parties are positioned for success

    • Protect the Levvel team by delineating clear responsibilities between with the client, pushing back when appropriate, while also maintaining continuous and clear communication to minimize any potential ambiguity

    • Provide operational support for agile development teams by ensuring the proper approach  on writing user stories, prioritizing backlogs, and managing product roadmaps, and willing to pitch in to help in a crunch

    • Support thought leadership activities around the vertical by authoring blog posts, white-papers, webinars, and attending industry events as necessary

    • Support sales by performing sales engineering activities including recommending project approaches, staffing, and timelines

    • Work with sales teams to identify, initiate, nurture and close new or on-going business opportunities

    • Understanding strategic issues faced by the client and translate to the role of Levvel in addressing those issues

    • Support leadership and  account managers in exploring and meeting specific business relationship goals at assigned accounts

    • Supporting leadership to continue to build and grow the practice. Developing knowledge management, including tools, methodologies, reports, models, work plans, checklists, and processes.

    • Participate in mentoring consultants


    • 5-10 years in financial services, payments or a similar related field, ideally a mix of time as a practitioner as well as at a consultancy

    • Experience navigating complex or difficult conversations with multiple senior stakeholders

    • Experience working across a broad set of internal stakeholders including technology/engineering, architecture, product management, project managers, designers, etc.

    • Comfortable overseeing individuals on complex projects in constrained or accelerated  environments

    • Enjoy building and managing stakeholder relationships to ensure successful project completion

    • Enjoy building and  managing team relationships to ensure cohesion and a successful  project outcome

    • Comfortable networking, going to conferences and speaking in front of groups

    • Demonstrated experience in developing solution specific strategies to support team value propositions and go-to-market efforts

    • Bachelors required, MBA strongly preferred

    • Strong, confident, and credible executive presence
